Off The Rails

The world, it seems, gets madder, so here's a picture of alien visitors inspecting a disused railway line. It's as fascinating to them as a Roman road is to us. Deserted tracks like these exert a strange and spooky hold, making us think of ghost trains and lost opportunities; of roads to nowhere and the end of industrial civilization.
