Qualia, Pierce, & the Time Ship: A Marriage in Four Parts
COUPLE'S THERAPY HAS NEVER BEEN SO WEIRD
The metafictional love child of TIME AERIALS and YESTERDAY MAKERS takes you down a rabbit hole of nested realities, perversions, illusions, and time travel. Marriage therapy’s never been so weird or twisted. But it’s a bumpy ride to reality and awareness.
SPOILERS & TEASERS
Qualia and Pierce are bored with life and tired of each other, so they make a deal with a time machine to galvanise their marriage and enrich their lives. Guided by the ship, they take separate journeys to enlightenment, tobogganing down levels of reality and perversion and pain and loss that they never imagined. But the three of them—the urbane couple and the malicious machine—are more alike than they thought.
Time Aerials and Yesterday Makers feature as books inside the story—books that were probably written by a time machine.
I've chosen a semi-abstract image to highlight the literary nature of this book. It's from a painting I did called Qualia's Meadow. The dark top band uses a neuron image to tie it in with TIME AERIALS.
